CARY S. KELLER, MD FACSM Dr. Keller attended medical school at the University of Chicago. He did his Surgical internship and Orthopedic Surgical residency at the University of Chicago and founded the Center for Sports Medicine there. Dr. Keller then joined the United States Olympic Committee's Medical Training Site in Cincinnati, where he did his Sportsmedicine Fellowship in arthroscopic and reconstructive ligament surgery of the knee. During that time, he served as Associate Team Physician to the United States Olympic Soccer Team. Dr. Keller is the Founder and Medical Director of Sportsmedicine Fairbanks. He is a Consultant in Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery at the Sitka Medical Center. He is a Fellow and former Trustee of the American College of Sports Medicine. He serves as Team Physician for the University of Alaska--Fairbanks and for the High School athletic teams in the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. Dr. Keller is Team Physician for the Alaska Smokejumpers, and Company Physician for the Northstar Ballet. He has served as Chairman of the Arctic Winter Games Medical Committee, and as Team Physician for Team Alaska. He is a founding member, Past Secretary, Past Treasurer, President, and Regional Representative of the Alaska Regional Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine. He has been a Basic and Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor for the State of Alaska. He served for ten years, appointed by the Governor, as a member of the Alaska State Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy. Dr. Keller is Past-Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the National Federation of High School Associations Sports Medicine Advisory Committee and Chairman of the Alaska School Activities Association Sports Medicine Advisory Committee.
