As we continue to improve
the event, the input from
World Language instructors
PostSecondary around the state is
Articulation invaluable. For this session,
we would like to refine the

also like to determine a
theme for the upcoming

structured as a workshop,
where we can discuss and
finalize each of these items.
In this interactive session participants
will be introduced to some basic
underlying principles of language play
and then provided a range of
representations of language play in
English and Chinese which exemplify
these principles. After participants have
experienced these language play
examples, they will be asked to 1)
develop several kinds of language play
for the world language(s) they currently
teach, and 2) explain where they might
employ language play in their curriculum
for most benefit and why. Participants
will receive a certificate of language play
completion and a list of references for
further reading at the end of the session.
