SWC and ECES will be holding a combined society meeting this Monday, November 23, at
7:00 p.m., in the ECES gym. At this meeting both societies will be voting separately on the
following proposal: To adopt a shared administrative structure between SWC and
ECES, including a Head of Schools and part-time Director of Learning starting in the
2016-2017 school year. We will meet at 7:00 p.m. to briefly lay out the proposal and then
proceed with the vote. If you are a parent with students at both schools or are a member of
both societies, you will be able to cast a ballot for each school society. Absentee ballots were
sent home with one of your children on behalf of the ECES Society. If you are unable to
attend the meeting on Monday night, we would encourage that you still cast your vote.
Please return these ballots in an envelope with your name signed across the back of the
envelope and write ECES Society on the front. Please place 1 ballot per envelope.
Envelopes can be returned to the ECES office anytime prior to the meeting.
If you are also a parent of a student at SWC or a member of the SWC Society without kids
currently attending, you are able to cast a vote for both societies. Ballots for SWC are being
sent home with the high school kids. If you do not receive a ballot, please contact either the
SWC or ECES office. Procedure is the same except to make sure that the envelope is marked
SWC Society.
Absentee ballots will also be available at the schools and at local churches (if requested) for
society members without students presently attending. Please return these ballots in an
envelope with your name signed across the back of the envelope. The vote will take a
simple majority from both societies in order to pass. Please make plans to cast your vote!
