1. We are still looking for volunteers to oversee inflatable’s at The Rock River Pumpkin Festival which will be at
SWMCH next week Saturday, 9-26-15. ECES will be sponsoring the inflatables again this year and we are asking
for volunteers who would be willing to work a one-hour shift. We need a total of 15 volunteers – 3 for each hour.
Time slots available are 11:00-12:00, 12:00-1:00, 1:00-2:00, 2:00-3:00, 3:00-4:00. Please call the ECES office and let
Dawn know if you would like to help out and what time works best for you. Thank you so much for your help

11:00pm – Amazing Pumpkin Race (teams of four, ages 11-14)
11:00am – 4:00pm Vendor Fair & Farmer’s Market
11:00am – 4:00pm – kids games, inflatables, horse rides, pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rack rides, petting
zoo, concessions/cotton candy, Mr. Twister (balloon art), face painting
11:00am – 3:30pm – Smoked pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, hot dogs, bbq, chips and drink available for
purchase
1:00pm – Apple and Pumpkin Dessert Contest
2:00pm – Pumpkin Derby Race
3:00pm – Fastest Pumpkin Pie Eater Contest
4:00pm – Pumpkin Launching Contest

2. The deadline for your orders from Great Plains Fundraising Sales (Formerly called Classic Cookie Co.) is next
week Friday, 9-25-15. Product delivery will be on 10-9-15 at 3:00pm. **In addition to the products listed on the
brochure, there are jar candles and gel melts available to order. They are in limited supply so if you are interested
in these items, stop by the school office to see samples and order.
3. The deadline to order NEW ECES CLOTHING is also next week Friday, 9-25-15. Stop by school, take a look at
the display table and take an order blank – you will also find pictures and an order blank on our website at
edgertonchristianschool.org. Five dollars from every item ordered goes to ECES.
4. “See You At The Pole” will take place at ECES next week Wednesday, Sept 23. This global day of student prayer
began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with a small group of Christian students in Texas praying at a school
flagpole for their friends and schools. More than two decades later, millions around the world pray on their school
campuses on the 4th Wednesday of September for their schools, churches and communities in global unity.
5. Hot Lunch Menu for Sept 21-25:
Monday – Corndogs, Chips/Salsa, Green Beans, Grapes
Tuesday – BBQ pork/bun, French Fries, Glazed Carrots, Pineapple
Wednesday – Chicken Alfredo, Broccoli, Fresh Veggies, Peaches
Thursday – Subs, Fresh Veggies, Baked Beans, Fruit Cups
Friday – Beef Fajita, Corn, Refried Beans, Fresh Veggies, Mandarin Oranges
6. We have a few valuable items in our “Lost and Found:” a small, blue and silver Sony camera with purple case
and also two camera battery chargers, both Sony as well. They have been here for quite some time so it may be
from a student who has graduated already. There is also a purple/gray watch in Lost and Found. Send an email,
stop by the school office to check it out or call us at 442.6181. Thank you.
7. SCRIP update: please have your orders to school by 8:00am on Mondays, orders will be filled on Wednesday
afternoons
8. Hot Lunch/Recess Helpers – check the school website: edgertonchristianschool.org and click on “Calendars” and
then “ECES Calendar.”
9. Moms in Prayer: Join us in praying for ECES & SWMCH students, teachers and staff every Friday at 8:15am.
We meet in the boardroom at SWMCH. Call Vonda Vander Top for any questions. Students and staff always need
your prayerful support! Thank you!
