(MA), for the challenge as a Director, Client Education and Learning
Manage and organize the E&T department at global ERT with teams in PHL, PGH, Boston, Peterborough,
Estenfeld and several instructors remotely. Promote a productive and positive relationship with the teams, internal constituents from other departments/organizations and external partners and customers. Direct and shape the training programs as they relate to ERT devices, systems and service lines including the delivery, execution and quality of training provided to ERT Customers. Develop and execute a virtual training strategy for ERT including e-learning. Oversee the activities of both individual contributors and managers throughout multiple geographic regions. Further responsibilities include ensuring all departmental personnel within each region are operating effectively and that all teams are coordinated in their approach, as well as ensuring requirements, expectations and objectives are consistent and clear to all staff. Serve as a point of reference, guide and mentor for team managers.
Responsibilities:
Manage and organize the E&T department in a way that all internal as well as external addressees receive a modern and unique training experience involving face to face as well as virtual offerings. Responsible for the design, planning, implementation and delivery of training programs to ERT clients for ERT offerings, devices systems and program lines.
Develop and execute a virtual training program with e-learning offerings, video trainings, web based trainings etc.
Conduct ongoing needs analysis to assess the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in the various roles across the Education and Training teams as well as in the e-learning group. Coordinates with other client facing ERT departments to determine needs and opportunities as part of needs assessment.
Oversees tactical aspects required to develop and deliver training including scheduling & coordination of training programs.
Responsible for completion of the departmental budget and the monitoring of the budget.
Ensure that ERT maintains the highest quality educational experience for its external and internal customers including e-learning variances.
Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of the customer and to provide solutions and recommendations on the conduct of training as it applies to the customer’s needs, including scenario planning and alternative methods of instruction.
Direct the hiring, orientation and development plans for all staff in close cooperation with the heads of the various ETD business lines and e-learning.
Assures documentation within the department and in accordance with QA guidelines, including
SOPs, SWIs, training and training records.
Key member of the Project Assurance process. Ensure staff are communicating across
departmental boundaries and are informed of key project information and deliverables.
Routinely report to VP metrics and performance within the department to assure client satisfaction and continued process improvement.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support for internal and external audits as it relates to Education and Training.
Supports the development of new device and service offerings using the Voice of Customer.
Participate in industry professional organizations, seminars, and other key venues to promote
ERT.
Perform other duties, assignments, and/or special projects as time or circumstances necessitate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or higher from an accredited University or equivalent.
10 years experience in the pharmaceutical or e-clinical industry required, including a minimum
of 5 years in a leadership or upper management position leading large global and remote teams of internal staff as well as external consultants
Extensive experience in training and e-education technologies as well as hands on experience with on hands training sessions in form of large audiences (up to several hundreds).
Mature personality, feeling comfortable in standing in front of such a big audience.
Very good English language skills verbally as well as written
Additional language skills preferred, e.g. French, Spanish, Japanese
Health, science, related educational specialty preferred . Health related clinical experience
preferred.
Position requires global travel up to 25%.
