College Visits: Schedule fall college visits with your prospective campuses. Here are some helpful tips: 1. Explore on your own 2. Read the bulletin boards 3. Eat in the dining halls 4. Visit a class in your major 5. Schedule a conference with a professor 6. Talk to lots of students 7. Sleep over 8. Take pictures and notes Iowa Legislative Page Program: Each year the Iowa House of Representatives, Iowa Senate, and Legislative Services Agency employs ambitious high school juniors and seniors of high academic standing to serve as Pages for the legislative session. Iowa College Access Network Golden Circle College Fair: Sunday, September 9th, 12:30-3 p.m., at Iowa Events Center in Hy-Vee Hall , Des Moines. NCAA Registration: If you are planning on playing sports at a Division I or II school, you will need to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse. You need to do this on-line at www.ncaa.org. You will click on a link found at the top right of the page, “Eligibility Center: Student-athletes register here”. You will need a credit card to pay the registration fee. Print out your registration form when you are finished and give at least one copy to me to send in with your transcript.
