ART-A-FAIR 2015
June 26 to August 30
A UNIQUE SHOWCASE FOR ORIGINAL ART WITHIN LAGUNA BEACH
Art-A-Fair is not only a major contributor to the glorious summer art explosion at Laguna Beach, it stands alone in what it offers to art enthusiasts on many different levels. To walk through the beautiful arches of Art-A-
Fair is to experience the creative ambience of 125 extraordinary local, national and international artists – to visit with them and observe their techniques. Live music plays for listening or dancing pleasure on Thursdays through
Sundays. Daily art workshops, taught by professional artists, are affordable and designed to tickle artistic fancy and prove ‘yes you can.’ Tivoli Too! Restaurant provides a relaxing retreat in its garden courtyard, overlooking a cascading waterfall, where fine cuisine is a work of art in itself. Art-A-Fair is a special place for all ages to enjoy. It is especially user-friendly for mothers and seniors with its cement walkways, lack of steps and clear grounds – easing the way- for those using a stroller, wheelchair, walker or cane.
Nationally recognized as a premier exhibition of artwork in Laguna Beach for the past 49 years, Art-A-Fair is a juried fine art show that is run as an artist cooperative. It receives no municipal funds or grants. The artists themselves support the exhibition by volunteer work and by working at other jobs – so passionately do they believe in the quality of their art. All mediums of original fine art are represented – including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, charcoal, pencil, drawing, mixed media, photography, ceramics, wood, glass, jewelry, gourds, leather, sculpture and digital art – and one can find everything from a $4 greeting card to a multi-thousand dollar showpiece. A wonderful Exhibitor Directory is given to everyone attending Art-A-Fair, containing a map of the artists’ locations with sample works of each artist.
