Dear Mr. Smith:
This is a correction to the letter you received dated September 13, 2013 which listed incorrect
emissions. Please replace the previously issued letter with this correction.
This is in response to your Certification Form received on August 6, 2013, regarding the Fort
Bend Regional Landfill located at 14115 Davis Estate Road, Needville, Fort Bend County, Texas.
After evaluation of the information which you have submitted, we have determined that your
Certification is complete for the Standard Air Permit for Municipal Solid Waste Landfill (MSW)
Facilities and Transfer Stations if constructed and operated as described in your Certification.
This standard air permit was authorized by the Commissioners pursuant to Title 30 Texas
Administrative Code § 330.981 (30 TAC §§ 330.981). (The issuance of this standard permit
supersedes all previously registered and unregistered New Source Review authorizations at this
site.)
In addition, after evaluation of your General Operating Permit Application and Certification
Form, the initial application received on August 6, 2013, we have determined that your site
qualifies for Municipal Solid Waste General Operating Permit (GOP) Number 517, if operated as
represented in your application. From the date of this letter the site referenced above must
operate in accordance with the requirements of Title 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 122
(30 TAC § 122, including the permit conditions contained in 30 TAC §§ 122.143-122.146). The
permit holder must submit an updated application to the executive director for changes
according to 30 TAC § 122.504.
The company is also reminded that these facilities may be subject to and must comply with
other state and federal air quality requirements. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Rian
McMorris at (512) 239-1327.
