Interprofessional Learning Group: Emerging Leaders Information and Application Introduction The Interprofessional Learning Group: Emerging Leaders Programme offers a new approach to supporting the leadership development of staff at an early stage in their career, reflecting how emerging leaders can meet the challenges in delivering better health and social care in a complex and ever-changing environment. There is an emphasis on the value of learning and working together in an interprofessional group. We recognise that leadership and management is not solely the responsibility of a few people in senior positions and that we also need effective leadership throughout our organisations at every level. We need to know what it is that we do that makes a real difference to people, where we need to improve what we are doing, and how to work interprofessionally to ensure patients and service users can safely expect to receive the same quality and level of care no matter their need or geographical location. The Interprofessional Learning Group will be facilitated to help build relationships with colleagues from other professions and gain practical insights into management and leadership today. Action learning brings together small groups of people to support and challenge each other to resolve practice and professional issues; create options; and agree actions.
