South End Open Studios is celebrating its
27th anniversary this year. This event
showcases the works of more than 200
established and emerging artists creating art
in a wide variety of media including
painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics,
glass and fiber. The public is welcomed
into their studios and galleries to meet the
artists, talk about the art and purchase art
directly from the artists.
South End Open Studios is your unique
chance to explore the roots of the modern
South End and to salute the artists who
moved to the neighborhood long before the
warehouses were renovated, the lofts were
built and the brownstones were
gentrified. The energy of this diverse artists
community has created what today is one of
the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city.

and a map with all studio locations included
will be available at the South End Open
Studios Information Tables located at the
Boston Center For The Arts, 539 Tremont
Street.
