Led and fluorescent Lights, which will save energy and give the library a more natural light feeling which will contribute to the overall feeling that we are going for of being in an outdoorsy environment, while being protected from the elements.
 Timed sinks in the bathroom, and toilets with automatic motion sense flushing and automatic motion sense seat cover change. The times sinks will help to save energy because it will stop the possibility of the immense waste of energy that happens when someone forgets to turn off the sinks in a bathroom, and leaves the running until someone else finds them on and turns the off. The motion activates toilets will help save energy because it will allow the toilets to determine whether or not to flush, because sometimes people will waste many flushes on a toilet, thus wasting energy.
 Tress in the interior courtyard will help to keep the air clean and provide oxygen inside, which will decrease the necessity for air from the outside environment to be channeled into the interior courtyard. This will help to control the interior courtyard environment, because when air, in great quantities, has to be channeled into an inner room front e outside, the elements tend to follow. For example, if it happens to be cold outside, then the fresh air coming in will be cold and will therefore probably make the room itself colder than the intended temperature, the comfortable preferable temperature, is.
 We have trained staff who are tasked with the job of unscrewing and safely storing away used fluorescent light bulbs, so as to not endanger the people, and other life, in the surrounding environment. Fluorescent light bulbs contain mercury vapor, which is poisonous, and if released into the environment, could have drastic and terrible consequences. Once our trained staff have successfully and safely unscrewed the light bulbs, we place them in a secure container, that is built to contain mercury vapor, if the bulb should happen to break once inside the box. The box is then picked up by sanitary workers and then properly disposed of in special containers that cause no harm to the environment.

We use a variety of trash cans to ensure the safety of the environment. We use specified trash cans for glass and plastic, that have tops that will only allow glass and plastic objects to enter, and trash cans for paper, metal, and a trash can for items that don’t fall into any of the previous categories, which we have labeled as general trash.
All of these trashes are then sorted each week, and everything that can be composted, is put into one of our large compost bins. The compost is then used in our inner garden

to help fertilize the environment, and keep it naturally sanitized, instead of using pesticides and other chemicals that the company’s CEO has great distaste for. The trash that cannot be composted is recycled when possible, and if it cannot be recycled or composted, it is then boxed up, just like the fluorescent lights, and picked up by sanitary workers who take care of it in an eco-friendly way.
