Welcome to Session 114 – Recent Advances in Swine Enteric
Coronavirus Diseases
Dr. Bowman's expertise is in swine production, veterinary public
health and epidemiology. He leads large applied field projects
researching viral diseases in swine populations, and his current
research focuses on investigating the epidemiology of influenza in
swine populations, zoonotic influenza transmission across the
animal-human interface, and the effectiveness of various
disinfectants against PEDv. Before his return to academia, Dr.
Bowman was a practicing veterinarian focused on food animal
production, and he now serves as a liaison between The Ohio
State University and the swine industry.
