☐ An up-to-date welcome news item will be available for students on the first day of semester. The news item includes:

A brief introduction to the unit;

A short description of the key areas in the MyLO unit;

 A direction on where students go to get started.

Example: Welcome News Item (below)

Related guide: Publishing News (PDF)

☐ Old news items are deleted or hidden from student view.

Homepage: Unit Information

If the unit has one unit outline, a current version is available via the Unit Outline (pdf) link. For units with multiple unit outlines, directions appear on where to find the relevant unit outline in Content.

Faculty support staff will arrange this, provided one or more current unit outline files are available

in the Content’s Introduction Module.

The Reading List readings are available and up to date.

Further information: Reading Lists

About this MyLO unit

This MyLO unit is the site where you can access resources and communicate with everyone in the unit. You will also be submitting your assessment tasks in this site. Take a little time to explore the site, as there are different areas that contain useful information. Key areas are:

Content - this is where you can find the resources for the unit. The Introduction module includes your unit outline. Read this carefully, as it provides key details about the unit, study school dates, assessment tasks and more.

Discussions - you can communicate with your Unit Coordinator and other students using the Discussions area (or by using the Discussions topics that appear in Content). If you have any questions, you can ask them in the Questions for the Unit Coordinator topic.
