PARENT/GUARDIAN PERMISSION

I give my permission to have my student to participate in the IBBR Student Intern Program during the semesters indicated. I understand that my child must provide his/her own transportation. Since this is a work site, I also understand that in order for my child to participate in this program, he/she may not be able to participate in other scheduled activities. In addition to work with the mentor, my student will participate with his/her cohort during the internship. The cohort will attend meetings with other interns, submitting weekly time sheets and reflections, prepare a culminating presentation, etc.

If my son/daughter is selected the academic year option, he/she must register for the MCPS Internship course for the academic year. Internship is an MCPS course with curriculum, assignments, and grade. Grades will be entered onto the student’s transcript. Students who applied under this option and do NOT enroll in the required MCPS

Science Internship course may be dropped from this internship site.

Contact your school’s internship coordinator for further information about the internship course
