Establish a faculty wide approach to e-learning encompassing workplace training and assessment, flipped classrooms, collaborative learning and virtual classrooms. 2. Identify opportunities and manage the implementation of full on-line and blended delivery of units and courses. 3. In consultation with the Head of Departments, identify required and appropriate professional development for faculty staff. 4. Provide professional development, mentoring and support to staff in relation to new technologies and assisting in implementing e-learning. 5. Provide recommendations and assistance with research, design or development of new e-learning products that are internally or externally created. Liaise with other Holmesglen administrative, teaching or department staff. External Communication Requirements Liaise as required with industry or professional representatives or the general e-learning community. Specific Accountabilities 1. Assist the Dean and other Head of Departments in the implementation and ongoing e-learning and blended delivery pedagogy. 2. Assist in the development of on-line support materials, course and assessment models. 3. Assist the Head of Department’s to establish a faculty wide approach to the delivery of on-line, blended and collaborative learning resources. 4. Assist the Head of Departments in researching new technologies to assist in the implementation and uptake of e-learning within the faculty. 5. Ascertain the needs for delivering on-line, and/or blended mode of delivery, for specific courses and units. 6. Assist all faculty Head of Departments in finding, selecting and inducting suitable staff for the courses. 7. Provide mentoring and support to teachers utilising elearning. 8. Provide updated reports to staff meetings when requested. 9. Carry out any other e-learning responsibility as directed by the Dean, Faculty of ESSE. 10. Act in accordance with Holmesglen’s safety policies and procedures to ensure your work area and its occupants comply with relevant OH&S legislation. Preferred P Knowledge r e Experience Skills Key Selection Criteria A recognised tertiary qualification or post graduate qualification in Information Technology or e-Learning. Sound and current knowledge of modern e-learning technologies, pedagogical practices using a technology platform and other blended or on-line approaches to education. Knowledge of TAFE or vocational education and training. Knowledge of degree and graduate programs preferred. Relevant experience in developing on-line/blended learning. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work with others. Ability to implement on-line and blended learning program modes. Excellent interpersonal skills and administrative ability. Excellent programs management and organisational skills. Ability to accurately gather and supply information within prescribed timelines. Demonstrated ability to seek out information and resolve issues appropriately. Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff training and learning. Excellent computer skills. Ability to utilise the current faculty e-learning development and distribution platform. Excellent skills to motivate staff, either individually or in teams.
