Karen Stepanyan is the Head of eLearning and Course Leader of Business
Computing Systems (Top-up).
He also leads the eLearning Steering Group Meetings.
He is a key lead in developing and managing the virtual learning
environment (VLEs) providing the seamless integration of the IT and
eLearning for both staff and students.
Biography
Dr Stepanyan holds a PhD (Brunel University) in Technology-Enhanced Learning;
a PGCert (Buckinghamshire New University) in Teaching and Learning in Higher
Education; and an MSc (American University of Armenia) in Computer and
Information Science.
His primary research experience and interests are in the areas of social
computing, Web 2.0, collaborative learning, communities and networks, cognitive
and social mechanisms of learning, personalisation and assessment.
He is particularly interested in Semantic Web development and Linked Data.
