Please complete the information below and apply by Monday, May 4th at 12:00pm (noon). If you are selected, a non-refundable
$250.00 deposit is needed to hold your place and is due by the date of your mandatory Career Trek Orientation (to be announced
upon selection). Financial assistance may be available to those who currently receive financial aid from Northwestern.

Marketing Trek
New York City, NY: September 1st-3rd
Last year, Marketing & Media were one combined trek; this year, we are hosting a trek specific to careers in marketing and related fields
(advertising, public relations, and brand management). Participants will have an opportunity to learn from Northwestern alumni in these
fields and experience the daily life of a marketing professional. Last year, participants had an opportunity to visit Colgate Palmolive,
BBDO, and Google- with more to come for 2015!
Media Trek
New York City, NY: September 1st-3rd
Last year, Marketing & Media were one combined trek; this year, we are hosting a trek specific to careers in media and related fields
(entertainment, journalism, and publishing). Participants will have an opportunity to learn from Northwestern alumni in these fields and
experience the daily life of a media professional. Last year, participants had an opportunity to visit NBC Universal, People Magazine, Food
Network, and Buzzfeed- with more to come for 2015!
Film & Television Trek
Los Angeles, CA: September 1st-3rd
This trek is NEW for 2015! Participants will have an opportunity to connect with Northwestern alumni in the television, film, and
entertainment industry in Los Angeles. Sites will likely include one of the big four talent agencies, a production company, a television
network, a film studio, a film finance company, and more!
Government, Law, and Policy Trek
Washington, D.C.: September 8th-10th
Participants will have an opportunity to learn from Northwestern alumni in government, law, and policy and experience the daily life of a
professional in our nation’s capital. Last year, participants had an opportunity to visit the Department of Justice, the United States Capitol,
the Urban Institute, and the White House- with more to come for 2015!
Finance Trek
New York City, NY: September 8th-10th
This trek is NEW for 2015! Participants will have an opportunity to connect with Northwestern alumni in the finance industry throughout
New York City. This trek developed from the Investment Banking trek to expose students to different areas of finance including sales and
trading, corporate finance, asset management, and private wealth management. This trek will not include Investment Banking.
Investment Banking Trek
New York City, NY: September 8th-10th
Participants will have an opportunity to network with Northwestern alumni and other professionals working in investment banking in New
York City. This is a networking-focused trek and a catalyst to the junior year internship search. Last year, participants had an opportunity
to visit Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Blackstone, and Lazard, among others- with more to come for 2015!
Startups & Technology Trek
San Francisco, CA: September 8th-10th
This trek is NEW for 2015! Participants will have an opportunity to connect with Northwestern alumni in the startup and technology space
in San Francisco.
The Career Treks are coordinated by Northwestern Career Advancement, the Northwestern Alumni Association, the School of Education and
Social Policy, the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications, the School of Communication, Weinberg College
of Arts and Sciences Student and Alumni Engagement, the Institute for Student Business Education, and the Investment Banking Club.
