Session 1.3 Finding fractional part of rectangular and finding the percent. Percents for Fourths and eighths. After students work on finding solution have a discussion on What Percent is 3/8 Tuesday : quiz on bell work of order of operation, halving a number and multiplying. Student WB unit 4 page 11 & 12 Wednesday: Session 1.4 Continue work on 1.3. They will be working on converting thirds and sixths to percent. Class discussion how they found what percent 1/3 is. Thursday: SWB unit 4 pg 13 and 14: Finish working on percents. For students who finish they will figure out how to fold a piece of paper into fractional parts and mark it like a ruler. Friday: Make observation of percents and fractions list any connections you might make to help memorize them. Math problem. How do you know it’s ½ .
