The Hotel Management School Maastricht, a faculty of Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, is internationally
recognized as one of the leading institutes in the hospitality industry. It offers a four-year Bachelor of Business
Administration in both Dutch and English and tw0 Master of Science programmes.
The bachelor course is aimed at prospective managers in the international hospitality industry, and
offers four tracks: Hotel Management, Entrepreneurship, Food Service and Horizons in Hospitality in
the final phase. The Masters’ courses in Innovative Hospitality Management and Facility & Real Estate
Management are organised in collaboration with international partners.
The Hotel Management School Maastricht is a small scale and international hotel management school

The Hotel Management School Maastricht currently seeks a:
Alumni/Internship Officer (0.8 - 1 fte)
Your tasks will include:
 dual position for alumni and internship
 developing and maintaining the faculty’s alumni policy within the institute’s strategy
 developing further and maintaining intensive contacts with national and international alumni networks
 being responsible for the content and design of means of communication for students and partner companies
 developing new media to strengthen the ties with students, alumni and partners
 developing, organising and coordinating alumni/internship-events
 devising and maintaining systems for both areas to ensure processes
 coordinating (hands-on) the selection and placement processes for interns
 representing the faculty.
We expect the candidate to:
 have a relevant master degree
 have at least 3 – 5 years’ work experience in the international hotel industry
 have demonstrable competence in both Dutch and English both oral and written
 have excellent communication skills
 be strategic, analytical, enterprising and creative



be flexible and has organizational skills combined with a hospitable attitude
be a result-oriented networker with an excellent ability to cooperate
have demonstrable experience with (online) relationship management
Terms of employment:
 An appointment for 1.0 FTE for the term of one year through Zuyd’s own contracting division. A
partial appointment is also negotiable, at least 0,8 fte.
 The salary scale awarded depends on the candidate’s qualifications and experience and shall be set in
accordance with the collective labour agreement (CAO) in the higher vocational education sector. The

terms of employment applicable include both 8% holiday pay and a fixed bonus equivalent to one
month’s salary. The candidate will be maximum placed in the formally function family advice and
policy, scale 9 or 10, with a maximum salary of € 3404,43 – 3740,63 gross per month based on fulltime.
