Try counting in 3’s using a number square. Ask your family and friends their favourite food and organise the information into a table. Keep practising spelling your surname. Ask someone to draw a coin onto a post it note, and place it on your forehead. To find out what coin they have drawn ask questions such as; ‘Is it silver?’, ‘Is it round or does it have corners?’, ‘Is it less than one pound?’ Keep singing the ’12 months of a Year’ and ‘Days of the Week’ song. Teach it to a younger brother, sister, cousin or friend. Find out one fact about French schools. Type it out and bring it in to put on our homework wall! Listen to your favourite song and clap along to all the short sounds that you hear. Perform an action and ask someone in your family to identify the verb. E.g. Run on the spot and ask someone to guess ‘to run’. Write down your daily routine; when you get up, brush teeth, eat breakfast, leave for school, do homework, go to bed, using o’clock, half past and quarter past times. Write the numbers 0 – 50 in words on your garden path. Throw a ball back and forth sounding out your tricky words. Bring in your favourite Chanukah recipe to share with the class. Find three objects in your house that are over one metre tall. Draw pictures and bring them in to share with the class. Take a trip to your local library and choose a book of your choice. Write about your favourite Chanukah present, making sure to write in your best handwriting and remembering all your capital letters and full stops.
