Deadline for nominations will be October 24, 2105. Previous award winners are
available on the Officials page of the BCA website.
Ian McNeil Award, Official of the Year:
A registered Official who made an outstanding contribution to track and field and was
conspicuous in their excellence in the calendar year. The recipient is automatically
nominated for the “NOC Official of the Year”:
Ralph Coates Award, Longstanding Service: A registered Official who has
contributed dependable, long term and versatile service to Track and Field.
Mary Temple Award, Novice Official: A registered Official who, in his/her first 5 years,
has focused substantial effort on learning to be an official as well as contributed willingly
and unselfishly as a beginner Official.
Dave Coupland Inspirational Award: The Dave Coupland Award is presented to a BC
Athletics member who has been an inspiration for Officials; someone who has made it
fun. This person does not need to be an official.
Wall of Honour – N.O.C.: A registered Official who has made a lifetime contribution to
Athletics at a National level. The Nominee from BC will be forwarded to the National
Officials Committee.
