Membership Options for individuals and Farmer Discussion Groups
There are four tired membership levels for individual flocks (BestValue, Bronze,
Silver and Gold) to suit the amount of input you would like. Additional services such
as faecal egg counting for liver fluke and roundworms, forage analysis ration
formulation and production analysis are all included in the Gold Package and
available as an additional service on the other packages. We also have work with
several discussion groups and tailor what we provide to the interests of each group.

BestValue Membership - £50 per annum payable by direct debit
1. 24/7 advice by phone and email from a dedicated sheep vet.
2. Proactive, email updates to alert you to emerging diseases issues and greater
in-depth discussion of seasonal parasite forecasts.
3. Access to non-prescription medicines and vaccines at our lowest possible
rates.
This is probably the best value for money sheep veterinary and production
consultancy advice available in the UK today. It is designed to provide sheep
producers large and small with the essential flock health advice they need when they
need it at an affordable cost.
Additional services such as forage analysis, ration formulation, data analysis and farm
visits are also available on request for an additional fee. Please enquire if you would

Bronze Membership - £50 per month (£600 for 12 months)
1. An annual farm visit for in depth discussion of all the issues affecting health or
performance and set out a clear plan for identifying and addressing the limiting
factors affecting the business. Review previous year’s performance, update flock
health and production plan and agree realistic short and long term targets.
Detailed report and recommendations, updated regularly during the year.
2. 24/7 advice by phone and email from a dedicated sheep vet.
3. Proactive, email updates to alert you to emerging diseases issues and greater indepth discussion of seasonal parasite forecasts.
4. Access to all medicines and vaccines at our competitive rates.
Silver Membership - £83 per month (£996 for 12 months)
1. Two farm visits annually timed for the most important stages of the production cycle for in
depth discussion of all the issues affecting health or performance and set out a clear plan for
identifying and addressing the limiting factors affecting the business. Review previous year’s
performance, update flock health and production plan and agree realistic, short and long
term targets. Detailed flock health plan and recommendations, updated regularly during the
year.
2. 24/7 advice by phone and email from a dedicated sheep vet.
3. Proactive, email updates to alert you to emerging diseases issues and greater indepth discussion of seasonal parasite forecasts.
4. Access to all medicines and vaccines at our competitive rates.
5. Worm and Fluke monitoring allowing you to save time, money and drench
resistance with accurate FEC testing, rapid results, interpretation and advice from
an experienced sheep vet.
6. Comprehensive health status investigation and interpretation using blood serology
and post-treatment faecal egg count reduction tests to establish worm and fluke
resistance status and which infectious diseases are limiting your flock fertility and
performance.
Gold Membership - £135 per month (£1,620 for 12 months)
1. Two farm visits annually timed for the most important stages of the production cycle for in
depth discussion of all the issues affecting health or performance and set out a clear plan for
identifying and addressing the limiting factors affecting the business. Review previous year’s
performance, update flock health and production plan and agree realistic short and long
term targets. Detailed report and recommendations, updated regularly during the year.

resistance with regular, convenient, accurate FEC testing, rapid results, interpretation and
advice from an experienced sheep vet throughout the year.
6. Comprehensive health status investigation and interpretation using blood serology and posttreatment faecal egg count reduction tests to establish worm and fluke resistance status and
which infectious diseases are limiting your flock fertility and performance.
7. Detailed data analysis of fertility, mortality and finishing performance for accurate
flock benchmarking against flocks nationally and against other Pro-Ovine flocks in
your sector. This information is key to help you identify the strengths and
weaknesses of your business and allow you to make the necessary improvements
quickly and easily so you reach your goals.
8. Technical skills training for all farm staff on a comprehensive range of topics such
as correct blousing, drenching, vaccinating techniques; body condition scoring;
diagnosis of common diseases; intra-peritoneal injections in hypothermic lambs;
blood sampling and Faecal egg counting
9. Routine surgery such as vasectomising teaser rams (carried out at routine visit).
10. Forage analysis on each batch of conserved forage followed by detailed impartial,
independent ration formulation for winter feeding and pre-lambing ration and ongoing support to ensure you achieve the best results.
11. Targeted sampling to identify and quantify production limiting trace element
deficiencies combined with impartial, independent advice on the most effective
and economic options to correct them.
Discussion Group Membership
Meetings are organised annually or bi-annually targeted at the areas of
interest for the group and relevant to the time of year with additional data
analysis and benchmarking of flock performance. We deal with every issue
affecting sheep producers from fertility, parasites and nutrition to minerals
and infectious disease. We work with local farmer organised discussion groups
and groups of producers using participating local vet practices Fees are charged for
groups on a day rate of £500 per meeting in England and Wales and £1000 per meeting in Ireland
and Scotland (because of the extra traveling time) plus mileage.
Summary of Terms and Conditions
All prices are exclusive of VAT. Registration as a individual (Bronze, Silver or Gold (Not Group member))
member places the flock under the duty of care of Pro-Ovine Ltd for the purposes of veterinary diagnosis,
monitoring and treatment and maintenance of an active health plan and appropriate prescribing. Additional
visits and laboratory serology costs are not included in the membership packages are charged separately.
Membership does not in any way preclude the retention of additional veterinary services if required to ensure
the welfare of the animals concerned. We encourage Pro-ovine members maintain dual registration with a
local practice to provide emergency veterinary care this relationship should be confirmed in writing to avoid
