REPAIR AND RENEW GRANT Guidelines and application form If your home or business has been flooded between 1 December 2013 and 31 March 2014, you may be eligible for help under the ‘Repair and Renew’ Grant. What is the grant for? The grant is aimed at helping property owners to pay for flood resistance and resilience measures to their properties such as fitting property level protection and waterproofing external walls. It has been set-up to ensure that high risk households and businesses are better prepared in the future for severe weather and flooding. Does the grant cover the cost of flood repairs to my property or business? No, the grant is only intended to fund measures which improve the property’s resilience or resistance to flooding, over and above repairs that would normally be covered by insurance. If a community wish to, they can pool their grants in order to carry out community level flood protection and resilience work where appropriate. How much is the grant worth? Each eligible property or business could be entitled to a one-off grant of up to £5,000. How do I apply?
