Age divisions are decided by your age on or before the day of the pageant, October 19, 2013.
You CAN move up an age group but you cannot move down. If you win an age division, you are not eligible for that age division again.
There are no residency restrictions for the Miss Redfield Pageant.
Fee: $25 if you enter before September 21, 2013. If you enter September 22, 2012 – September
28, 2013 the fee is $30. Checks are to be made payable to the Redfield Chamber of Commerce and ALL checks will be cashed and cleared before the pageant. Please return forms as soon as possible so we can determine the number of contestants in each age division. If there are not enough contestants, some age groups may be combined.
Photos: Please submit a photo, color or black and white, for the program book along with this form.
Photogenic: $10.00 for the first photo, $15.00 for two photos, or $20.00 for three photos. A separate photogenic contest for both boys and girls will be judged on the afternoon of the pageant. Age divisions are the same as the beauty pageant. There is usually only one award given to the boys because of lack of response. Photos should not be larger than 8x10.
Deadline for the photogenic contest is October 5, 2013.

Interview: Miss Teen, Miss, and Mrs. contestants will hold a 10 minute interview with the judges. The judges will ask you about yourself, your community, current events, your platform or issues facing your school and your peers today.
Evening gown: The judges will score you on grace, poise, presence, modeling, confidence and how well you are able to answer their on stage question. You will be asked a question that you were asked during interview that the judges thought you answered well.
Awards: All age groups will have a first and second runner up, as well as winner as long as there is 5 contestants in the age division. EVERYONE will get a participation award. Each division winner will receive a crown, trophy, sash, flowers and savings bond.
The Miss winner will receive a $250.00 scholarship from the Redfield Chamber of Commerce and a gift basket and the first runner-up will receive a $100.00 scholarship. Mrs. Redfield will receive a gift basket.
THERE WILL ALSO BE AN AWARD CALLED THE “PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD”.
THE AUDIANCE CAN DONATE THEIR CHANGE OR DOLLAR BILLS TO THEIR
FAVORITE PAGEANT CONTESTANT. THE CONTESTANT WITH THE MOST
MONEY COLLECTED WILL BE NAMED THE “PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD”
WINNER. ALL CONTESTANTS CAN HAVE MONEY DONATED FOR THEM AND
THERE WILL BE ONE OVERALL WINNER. THAT WINNER WILL RECEIVE A
$50.00 SAVINGS BOND, CROWN AND TROPHY. ALL OF THE PROCEEDS FROM
THE DONATED MONEY WILL GO TO DIFFERENT REDFIELD COMMUNITY
SERVICE PROGRAMS THAT WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER. WHAT A GREAT
WAY TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY!
Rehearsal: Will be held at the Redfield Middle School Auditorium on Thursday October 10,
2013 at 6:00 PM for all contestants. Please be on time. We will have a meeting, sign all forms, and give out contestant packets with your number and pertinent information in it. Please bring your whatever shoes you will be wearing for the competition. If you are unable to make rehearsal a makeup time MUST be scheduled with pageant director by October 3.
Please only bring contestant and ONE parent as there will be too many people and not enough time to pay attention!
You will be REQUIRED to fulfill at least 3 duties during your reign as title holder. If you do not fulfill your commitment or your behavior is deemed to tarnish the title, the Redfield
Chamber of Commerce or the city of Redfield, you will be forced to step down and the runner-up will be crowned with the title. You will be required to be at the Redfield
Founders Day Festivities (October 18-festivities will be Saturday before or after depending on when 18 th falls), Redfield Chamber Banquet, as well as crown the following year. Not abiding by the rules set forth by the Redfield Chamber will result in disqualification.
