Technical Graduate Programme
There has never been a more exciting time to join Pullman Rail. We are ambitious and excited about
the opportunities ahead of us. Our aim is to be the supplier of choice for heavy maintenance within
the UK rail industry, and as a member of our team, you will help us get there.
As part of our continued growth, we are investing in a new Technical Graduate Scheme. This is a 2year programme, and is focused on the engineering side of the business. You will be working closely
with our experienced engineers and senior management on various projects throughout the
duration of the programme. You will have the opportunity learn and develop your engineering skills
and to work towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Working on the Scheme requires a large amount of flexibility and a great team spirit. You will be put
in a position of responsibility, where you will have the independence to make your own decisions, as
well as working alongside colleagues from different disciplines. You will also be involved in the both
the technical aspects and the day-to-day operations. There will be a great variety in your activities,
from technical work to client engagement, combined with a large amount of hands-on site work.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic people who can work both independently and in a team. You
will have a degree in an engineering field, and a strong desire to develop a career in the engineering
/ manufacturing industry.
We are strong supporters of equal opportunities, and seek applications from all graduates,
regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious beliefs, nationality, disabilities, marital status or sexual
orientation.
The Recruitment Process
When applying for a position within our graduate programme your application will go through a
number of stages.
First, you email your CV and covering letter to HRQueries@pullmanrail.co.uk. We will only take
applications from those with engineering backgrounds for our technical programme.
Following this, if you are successful, you will be asked to take part in telephone interview. This
interview is relatively short, but it is essential to make a good impression.
If you are successful at this stage, you will then be invited to meet with us for a face to face
interview where you will have the chance to talk to some of our more experienced people. You will
also have a tour of the site where the programme is based.
We may then ask you back to meet with some of our senior managers.
Closing date for applications: 29 February 2016
