Darren Jack Band (Sydney),
Multiple award-winning Blues artist Darren Jack has been electrifying
audiences with his signature powerhouse Rock ‘n’ Blues and original music
for the last twenty years. Jack has taken out 5 Australian Blues Music
Awards and has won the Sydney Blues Challenge an unprecedented two
times, in 2012 (Band category) and in 2014 (Solo category). He has
represented Australia in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis,
Tennessee in 2013, and again in 2015.
Jack has performed at all of the major Blues Festivals around Australia and
has played alongside some of his biggest heroes in the Blues. Completing
the band are Rosscoe Clark – Drums, Jimmy Bee – Bass & Jed Cannon –
Keys.

Doggn It Blues (Sydney), with players Graeme
Druce on Guitar and John Cupit Blues harp. They are an
Australian team, playing blues together since 1985.
Together Doggn it sing and play their way through a range
of original material, which provides a commentary on
Australian issues ranging from what it feels like to wake up
in the Australian bush in ‘Life You Choose’, logging timber
by hand at the turn of the century in ‘Shiftn’ Logs’, to living
through the depression on ‘The Hungry Mile’, global issues
in songs like ‘CEO Blues’, through to Blues standards like
‘Trouble in Mind’, and the human condition with songs
‘Bruised Not Broken’ and ‘Devil at Your Door’, and
‘Unsatisfied Woman Blues’.

Room 15 (Goulburn),
is the next
Blues/Psychedelic Rock band slamming on to the
Australian music scene. They have the perfect mix
of the Blues’ handsome melodies with the drive
and the experimental bliss of Psychedelic Rock.
The power trio started in the winter of 2014 with
Bailey Judd, John Vassallo and Lachlan Phelps.
Bailey has been gathering musical maturity since
the age 9 and has played over 200 gigs. With a
solid rhythm section to back the experience, Room
15 are one of the tightest young bands you’ll see.
Playing alongside Blues bands such as
Dreamboogie and Laura and The Blackjacks,
they’re a hot, up and coming band making a name

Jack Biilmann Jack’s debut solo album, ‘Myself
To Blame’, has just been released and is receiving
outstanding accolades. Jack is one of Australia’s
hottest musicians and ‘Myself to blame’, which covers
dub/reggae, blues and acoustic rock, includes
collaborations with Citizen Kay, Jimmy Pike and
Benjalu. After playing for three years in The Second
Hand Salmon, this songwriter, guitarist and vocalist is
heading back to his acoustic roots.

Richard Perso (Yackandandah), Having blown
away crowds at over 150 Blues, Rock, Folk, Acoustic and
Music festivals alike, Richard Perso is steadily becoming
known as one of those 'not to miss' acts. Jumping onto
the festival scene at the ripe old age of 16, Perso has
been mastering his craft around Australia and overseas.
Perso has an enviable record brought about by his
unique sound. Using one of the world’s oldest
instruments, the didgeridoo with a diverse range of
influences to develop an individual repertoire unmatched
in today’s scene. Combining his appreciation for late 60s
rock with an old school Blues/roots/folk style guitar
approach and infusing it with a bit of didgeridoo as well
as a voice likened to that of Eddie Vedder, this one man
show delivers a performance that is unique, dynamic and
above all, entertaining!

The Amphibians (Goulburn)
The new kids on the block - The Amphibians, are a
Blues/Psychedelic band who won the busking
competition at The Australian Blues Music Festival in
Goulburn earlier this year.
We don’t know too much about them, except they’ve
been highly recommended; so we’re really looking
forward to seeing what they’ve got for us.

Chris Harland Blues Band
UK guitarist CHRIS HARLAND brings the tradition of Britishmade Electric Blues, the authentic riff-driven Chicago sound, a
high-voltage heritage of Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, Jimmy
Page and Peter Green.
Bassist Paul Leeder has backed some of the hottest of our
rock and blues legends – Jeff St John, Wendy Saddington,
Angry Anderson.
Drummer Mitch Preston has been on the live music scene
since 1975. He’s just about played it all: rock, jazz, blues,
reggae, funk, country, big band and stage productions. Mitch’s
powerhouse blues style perfectly complements Chris’s huge
sound.
On the keys, Peter Kirkup is relishing the opportunity to
explore the classic Hammond sound with the Chris Harland
Blues Band.

Queen B and the Archers
Canberra based vocalist Bridget Croft and New Zealand punk/metal
guitarist Phil Gemmell have been working on the Queen B sound for
more than a year, honing their shared passion for strong blues and
rockabilly riffs, powerful lyrics and quirky musical style. Having recently
completed the lineup with Bill Bostle on bass and Mark Woods on
drums, Queen B and the Archers are ready to rock your socks off with
their post apocalyptic blues, rockabilly, country heartbreak sensibility.
With influences such as Florence Welch, Blondie and Bobbie Gentry,
this is not your average blues band. With a super tight rhythm section,
overdriven guitar sound and haunting vocals, you will walk the path less
travelled with these seasoned musicians, who bring their lifetime of
passion for their craft to the fore in this unique formation.

Minh Ha is a solo artist who blends a concoction of
sounds to create his raw blues and roots feel for his
audience. His intricate use of finger picking on the
acoustic and slide guitar, along with the percussive
style, has people wanting more. With the added
sounds of the didgeridoo, harmonica, vocals and
stomp box, he has taken his music to a new level. Minh
writes about his own experiences and can only explain
his true thoughts through his songs. His main
influences in particular with his guitar playing, derives
from artists such as John Butler, Jeff Lang, Kim
Churchill and Adam Hole.
Minh has also played in many festivals around the ACT
and NSW region including the National Folk Festival,
R.E.G.E.N. Festival and Dragon Dreaming Festival.
