The Physician Leader, Oncology Service Line will have dual reporting responsibilities: to the CMO, MH; and, the CMO/SVP of Clinical Services at MMC. He/she will serve as the face of MH oncology and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the standardization and improvement of high quality, value-based oncology care. The successful candidate will be a recognized physician leader and noted clinician from a progressive cancer care delivery organization and/or comprehensive oncology service line that has successfully integrated care across organizational lines. The candidate will hold an MD from an accredited institution and should be board certified in a cancer-related discipline. The Physician Leader will spend the majority of his/her time (80 percent) dedicated to administrative tasks; but, he/she will also have a part-time (20 percent) clinical practice and/or research program in the area of his/her primary expertise. He/she must have or be eligible for licensure in Maine; a master’s degree is a plus. MH is headquartered in Portland, Maine’s business, financial and retail capital, and its largest city.
