The CAMWS Archaeological Excavation/Fieldwork Award
To complete this application, please follow these steps:
1. Fill out pages 2-6 of this document and send it in either .doc or .pdf format
to archaeology@camws.org. In the subject line of the email, include the words
“Excavation/Fieldwork Award” and your name.
2. Contact two persons, well acquainted with you and your work (especially in Classics), and ask
them to send a letter evaluating your academic attainments, teaching experiences, and
character to archaeology@camws.org. Please ask them to include the words
“Excavation/Fieldwork Award” and your name in their subject line. If necessary, your
recommenders may instead mail their letters by mail to:

3. Apply directly to a specific Greek or Roman summer excavation program or field school.
