Northeast Montessori Institute now offers the Infant and Toddler Course of Study Summer Phase: July 20-24, 2015 & July 27-31, 2015 • One Year Program The course can be completed in twelve months. A nine-month student teaching practicum follows the first summer session. Fall and spring seminars during the practicum year provide on-going support and a continuation of study. A final wrap-up week will be held July of 2016. • New Program OfferingsBirth to 18-months and 18-months to 3 years This course is designed for those working with infants (birth to eighteen-months) and toddlers (eighteen-months to three years) in school or home settings, as well as those working in other programs serving young children. • Experienced and Qualified Infant and Toddler Instructors This course brings together qualified Infant and Toddler instructors with years of experience. Course instruction will include Environment Design, Philosophy, Pedagogy and Child Family Relationships, along with an on-line Cognitive Development course with Xavier University. Northeast Montessori Institute(NMI) is pleased to be offering a new Infant and Toddler Couse of Study to begin this summer on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Courses will be held in a picturesque college setting north of Boston in the town of Wenham, MA. On-campus lodging is available at a reasonable rate for those not wishing to commute. Northeast Montessori Institute is also pleased to be offering its 31st Early Childhood teacher certification program (MACTE Accredited and AMS Affiliated) this summer. This course can also be completed over a 12-month period or extended over two years. Additional 2-day Enrichment Training workshops for Assistants, Classroom Teachers and Administrators is available this summer through RISING STARS, as well as a required 3-day Montessori Early Childhood Overview for those individuals enrolling in the Infant and Toddler Course of Study who do not hold a Montessori Early Childhood Credential.
