There was a time when investigators thought it really didn’t matter what was put in an abstract.
Now scientific evidence has shown that it matters what is written here. It is highly recommended that you follow this advice and use this space to succinctly state what conference participants will see on your poster or hear during your talk. They will decide to attend based on what you write here. Abstracts are a single paragraph; they do not contain figures, graphs, chemical structures or references. Avoid abbreviations or acronyms. Do not use phrases like “as seen in the results”, abstracts should stand-alone. Refrain from using any weird symbols in the abstract, we will not reproduce them. Do not describe the future, your hopes, dreams or wishes; describe only what you have already accomplished.
Remove everything in this box and replace with your information. This box should comfortably fit 250 words.
You must adhere to these rules EXACTLY. No exceptions. We will not edit your formatting therefore it is crucial that you conform to the rules. It will appear in the abstract book EXACTLY as you write it here. Use proper grammar.
All your text, including title, names, institution, and abstract, must fit in the box.
You must use Times or Times New Roman 12-point font. You must use full justification for the text.
You must capitalize your full title.
You must skip one line and then have the list of names of the authors, as first and middle initial, followed by one space and then last name.
The next line must contain the name(s) of the institution(s) where the work was performed.
Skip one line and then begin the abstract (250 words), no indent.
