4/26/10 Hall C weekly meeting Install (Gaskell)2 chambers on z plates ready to be fiducialized, 2 still at William and Mary Alignment- G0 girder on stand Compton DAQ has been moved from EEL to Counting house All quartz bars fiducialized… now where to put them/how to fit them on Ferris wheel Target issue- fix will take time [hope to have loop in hall by 6/15, 7/6 beam on cryotarget; 6/8 lockup] Hope to lock up 6/8- Beam to machine guys for a week… commission polarimeters and raster system… Scattering chamber now in place with a plate clamped in place for vacuum Question to ops: Are we able to extract all 3 beams 1st pass? Response: No Andy KenyonDog house walls up and racks need to be installed Working on Moeller H2O system Painting/cleaning for open house Design on cable tray for region 3 Holding pattern on Ferris wheel: 4cm position discrepancy between map in Dimod and Paolo’s model… Kelly Tremble and Paolo checking data… a 4cm shift was placed into the model but never carried over into Dimod. A possible solution for shifting to occur may be to trim the arms which support the quartz scanners a bit with the quartz moving further downstream of the scintillators. Debate is occurring on whether the Ferris wheel need be moved. Paolo gave some new numbers for the target stand Directions from Steve Wood were given to focus on getting continuous beam line under vacuum and to test the water target window. Joe Beaufait- Cable trays have been run from the old racks to the accelerator beam line area and tray will run downstream to the end of the pivot point by the end of the week. A second tray is being run in parallel to supply high voltage to the Compton for hook up by the weekend. Data cables to rack 09, RS232, and QTOR cabling has been delivered as well as 75 rolls of ribbon cable so that the student workers may begin work (physics storage). Trays to patch panels and huts will be installed soon and will be mapped out this week. Flex cable tray in region 3 is under design. Harris will be running the Compton control lines and quads. Paul King- 4 designers are working full time on qweak through early June and will scale back through June and July. Lead shielding is being examined for the QZ, access platform, etc. 12 GeV Lehmann review this week. PLC and IL racks for SHMS are currently in the works. Bids for the SHMS DC supplies are out. There are completed fabrication drawings for rail/rail supports. Working is ongoing on those for the cryo line. Design work is ongoing for the Pb-glass pre-shower. 2 magnets must be repackaged and rebid. Project award dates are tentatively Oct./Nov. for the dipoles and Dec. for the quads, with a 3 year contract for construction. Steve Wood- Everyone do your property validations. Andy is to give qweak work precedence over this however. End meeting
