September 2nd and the deadline to register is September 11th. Payment can be made via PayPal or you
can send a check to school, made payable to HPTC. Send your check in an envelope labeled
“Enrichment”.
Chess Mondays 2:45 - 3:45 Grades K-5

Learn how to play beginners chess! Learn what each chess piece is allowed to do, how to understand
strategy, how to conceptualize, and think ahead. Includes: Rules of the game, taking initiative, various
types of Chess endings and strategic Ideas. Playing Chess has proven to help students enhance their
creativity, improve their power of concentration, develop and expand critical thinking skills, boost memory
and retention, and achieve superior academic performance. (Conducted by Ai Studios)

Frozen Ropes Tuesdays 2:45 – 3:45 Grades K-5

Have fun playing baseball/softball after school. A class designed for boys and girls to do fun-filled drills
and play games to develop skills, cooperation, and a healthy interest in sports. (Conducted by Frozen

Jewelry Design

Create your own jewelry! This class is a fun way for students to come together, be creative, make friends,
and get to make some awesome gifts to take home! We’ll work on beading, making change purses,
bracelets, earrings, necklaces and key-chains. (Conducted by Smartycat Kids LLC)

Junior Scientists Wednesdays

Using fully hands on activities and experiments, we explore the basics of biology, chemistry, physics,
engineering, technology, earth science and green science. If your child would enjoy making liquid
bubbles, fog, ooze or erupt; launching miniature gas powered rockets; designing and constructing model
structures; building solar powered robots; erupting model volcanos; studying animals or growing a plant in
a test tube; than this is the program for them! (Conducted by Smartycat Kids LLC)

Creative Painting Thursdays 2:45 – 3:45

This class is for students who love to paint, using both watercolors and acrylic paints. Children are taught
how to express mood through painting, while also learning how to blend colors, the use of different brush
strokes for effect, and learn different styles of painting. This class is taught by an experienced artist.

Your child’s imagination has no limits in this class! Children will learn how to create their own books as
we cover the basics of storytelling and illustration in this fun class. Students will even receive a
printed copy of their book at the conclusion of the class. (Conducted by Smartycat Kids, LLC)

Basketball Fridays 2:45 – 3:45

The goal of this program is for the players to have fun in a safe setting where they can learn the
fundamentals of the game in an all-inclusive, positive environment. Players will be grouped by age and
ability level. (Conducted by Drills, Skills and Thrills Basketball)
