Application must be complete in order for applicant to be considered for admission into this discipline. Date Completed:_________________________________ Student Signature:_____________________________________ Student Printed Name:________________________________ -4Instructions and Guidelines concerning the Doctor of Philosophy Dissertational Process: *Each student who desires to be considered for the admittance into the Doctoral Dissertation process must complete and submit the application form. *Each student is responsible to keep the set times with his/her advisor or give 24 hour notice to the advisor if unable to meet the arranged time. Failure to abide by such for (3)times or more, will result in student being dismissed from the program. If such dismissal occurs, student must meet with the Dr. Byron L. Jameson in order to be considered for readmittance. *All tuition, past and present, must be satisfied before admittance will be considered for each student. *Students must satisfy the tuition for the Doctoral Dissertation Process before final submittance of such dissertation to the University in order for such to be considered. *Students will be required to meet with their advisor at least 20 times during this dissertation progress. All meetings must be validated by the advisor upon the final submission of the dissertation. Failure to meet the required times will result in dismissal from the program. *Students are highly encouraged to take the advisor’s instructions, for failure to abide by such will result in potential refusal of dissertation. *Upon completion and submission of above application, student will be notified by mail the status of their admittance. Upon approval of admission, student will be asked to meet with their advisor as to the topic they desire to research. Upon approval of oral topic, student will be encouraged to submit a formal proposal to the university for the official approval. If approved, student will meet with his/her advisor to get a scheduled set of at least the first 5 meetings. *Any changes in the dissertational topic must be discussed and approved by your advisor. Student must wait for a written approval of denial before scheduling with your advisor. The approval process will take anywhere from 1-3 weeks. Students will be required to include such approval in their completed dissertation. Students must also provide a copy of the approval letter to their advisor. Any questions of the above should be addressed with the student’s advisor. If clarification can not be reached, the advisor will seek a meeting with Dr. Byron L. Jameson.
