National Defense University University Orientation Week National Defense University’s Orientation Week for Academic Year 2015-16 will be held on 3 to 7 August. NDU’s Orientation Week is designed to acclimate students to the University, their Colleges and their academic programs. NDU’s Orientation Week consists of the University In-Processing on 3 August followed by the University Convocation on 4 August, the University Orientation on 4 August, the individual College Orientations on 5 to 7 August. The following is an overview of the events for NDU's Orientation Week: University In-Processing: 3 August 2015: Marshall and Lincoln Hall In-Processing is a University-wide program administered by NDU’s Human Resources Directorate. Each College will provide each student with details for the in-processing. 1. The first group of students from Eisenhower and Information Resources Management College for the morning session must report NLT 0745 2. The last group of student from Eisenhower and Information Resources Management College for the morning session must report NLT 1100 3. The first group of students from College of International Security Affairs and National War College for the afternoon session must report NLT 1200 4. Students and guests should be seated by 0745 in designated seating on the Roosevelt Hall esplanade. Convocation is a celebration at which students, faculty, and staff gather to celebrate the official opening of the scholastic year.
