Pamlico County Board of Education member, Judy Lee Humphries (Class of 64), retired Pamlico County Schools Cultural
Arts Coordinator/Music Teacher, Anne Watson, and Pamlico County Commissioner Ann Alexander Holton (Class of 58)
have joined hands and are ambitiously working to enhance the safety and beauty of the A. H. Hatsell auditorium by
SAVING ONE SEAT at a time. The Class of 1958 was the first class to walk across the stage in the new auditorium. The
762 seats are now 57 years old. Our goal is to raise $76,200 to upholster and refurbish the seats as needed. The team is
appealing to all PCHS alumni and friends to contribute to this cause. For a donation of $100, a seat can be upholstered
and the beauty of the auditorium restored. For each $100 donation, an individual will be given the opportunity to have
an alumni’s name (their own or someone else’s) and year of graduation engraved on a plaque in the lobby or have a
donation designated in memory or in honor of someone. As noted below, donations of any amount are welcome and
appreciated.
