DAREBIN ARTS’ SPEAKEASY 2015 PRESENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM APPLICATION FORM – NORTHCOTE TOWN HALL The City of Darebin is taking applications for its third year of presentations and developments as part of the Speakeasy program at the Northcote Town Hall and for the first time the Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre. After a hugely successful first two years (well we have 6 months to go but we are quietly confident!) Darebin Art’s Speakeasy program is taking applications for its third year of performances and developments at the Northcote Town Hall and for the first time, we are also opening it up to Main Stage at the Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre. So far we have staged a huge variety of works to great acclaim and large audiences. We are now taking applications from artists and companies who are devoted to the quality of their practice, are seeking to reach an audience beyond their established sphere, who can demonstrate an unforgiving thoroughness in their process and a true sense of adventure. The program will again consist of an eclectic mix of genres and styles, guaranteeing an engaging experience for audiences. Whilst the program is specifically aimed at breathing new life into the Northcote Town Hall’s two studio spaces, work that makes use of other spaces in the building will also be considered.
