At the young age of 5 she began her training at Coral Brown School of Dancing where she continued her tuition for 20 years. EXPERIENCE My Dance/Music/Drama experience started in 1973 when I was 5. I was enrolled at Coral Brown School of Dance‟ and trained consistently 4 sometimes 5 days a week up until the age of 21. This included: Classical ballet, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Character/Folk, Irish, Song and soft shoe, Song and Tap, Musical Comedy, Singing and Drama lessons. This training has presented me with multiple opportunities in the Creative and Performing Arts world, as a child/teenager and now at present as an adult. In 1984 my beloved dance teacher Coral brown passed away, I continued dance studies with Debra Henderson and Shirley Jones. I studied Cecchetti Elementary to Advanced 2 with Shirley Jones and passed my Associate and Licentiate exams with distinction and continued with my Diploma and Fellow with Shirley. 1984-1996- I performed and competed at multiple events including: Eisteddfods, Shopping Centre entertainment shows, Fetes, Charity Events, Half Time Football Game entertainment, Talent Quests, Parades and Character suit work. 1988- Opened Donna Lierse School of Dancing in Eltham and Epping. The school was established to provide people of all ages the opportunity to experience the magic of dance and theatre. The Academy trained students from 3 years of age to a higher technical/artistic level, offering the best preparatory level of training for the vocational student and for entry to external professional tertiary dance courses. The Academy allowed the recreational and ‘once a week’ student the ability to achieve the best possible standard. Also completed four years of tertiary studies, gaining Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and Nutrition. 1989- Instructor of Dance seminars for Primary School Teachers in Central Melbourne, ranging from the years of Kindergarten to Year 12. 1990- Implemented new educational programs in VCE Dance and Dance Styles at Eltham High School, Bendigo Senior School and Box Forest Secondary College. 1990-2000- Taught full time and part time in the State Secondary School System teaching Home Economics, Human Development, VCE Dance and Science. 1996- Moved to Bendigo and opened another branch of Donna Lierse School of Dancing whilst still maintaining two schools in Melbourne. Owned and operated a private studio for the arts in which instruction was given in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Modern. Aging from 3 to adult. Managed a staff of eight artists/instructors. Handled all financial aspects of the studio from payroll to the accounts of approximately one hundred and eighty students. 2000- Closed Donna Lierse School of Dancing in Melbourne due to having children and developed further Bendigo site. Also changed name to Bendigo Dance Academy to incorporate all genre within the school. Principal of Bendigo Dance Academy teaching all Cecchetti Method levels and choreographing Solo/Duo/ Troupe routines in multiple dance genres.
