*Today’s Events:
 Jr. Beta talent practice immediately after school in the gym lobby until 4:00
 HS Boys’ Basketball at home vs. Owen Co. , 5/6/7:15
 HS Girls’ Basketball at Henry Co., Freshman District Tournament
*All the baseball players will need to be here at the school at 8:30 p.m. this Saturday to clean up for
the Education Foundation Dinner and Silent Auction.
*Jr. Beta talent will practice immediately after school in the gym lobby on Friday at 3:10 until 4:00.
Everyone must attend—NO EXCUSES.
*Candy Grams will be on sale through lunch time on Monday, February 13 th. They cost .50 cents
each and are sold before school and during lunch.
*Jr. Betas need to make sure they have brought in their boxes of candy for the candy-grams by this
Friday.
*The Lost and Found area is out of control. Please check for anything you may be missing: jackets,
pants, shirts, eye glasses, watches, and more!
*Drama Practice is cancelled this week due to Homecoming activities. Rehearsals will begin again on
Monday.
*Homecoming week is this week through Feb 10th.

The Pep Rally is Friday at 2:15!
*There will be a Homecoming dance after the games on Friday. It will last until midnight. It’s
sponsored by Eminence YOCO, Eminence cheerleaders, and Rhea Brees for her senior project. The
cost is $3 per person to get in. Proceeds go to the Brooklawn Child and Family Services and to the
Eminence Cheerleaders.
*Homework Zone is cancelled on February 16, 2012
*Blood Drive: February 21, 2012, at the WAC from 10:00 to 4:00/
*Attention all 5th and 6th girls – Jr. Pro Basketball will be held at the WAC on February 28th, March 1st,
March 6th, and March 8th from 6-7:15 p.m. Registration forms have been passed out. Extra forms are
available in the office.
*The Booster Club needs help in the concession stand on the following date: 2/18/12 3:00, 4:00, and
5:30. Please call Lisa Prewitt at 432-2011 if you can help.
*If you didn’t order an Invisible Children T-shirt and would like to buy one there are some extras for
sale for $10. See Mrs. Montgomery if you would like one.
*Weight-lifting for all boys interested in playing football, grades 8-11, every Monday, Wednesday, and
Friday.
*Middle school and high school classrooms now have paper recycling boxes. Please recycle white
paper! Instead of wadding it up, lay it flat in the box.
*If you have filled out a technology request form, you must bring your personal device to Mrs. Lively
before school starts. Students using personal devices without approval are violating the WIFI policy.
*4H Events:
 February 7th Photography Club is taking a field trip to Renee’s Photography Studio in
Pleasureville from 3:30 till 5:15. Please call the office for further details. 845-2811

*The Booster Club is looking for volunteers to work the Basketball Concession Stands. The Booster
Club provides ALL of your teams’ uniforms, makes donations for equipment and supplies, provides
food and labor occasionally for special events, and supports your teams in ways you don’t even
realize. If every parent of a student who plays sports worked one game in the concession stand, we
would have plenty of help. To volunteer or for more info, call Lisa Prewitt 502-432-2011, Lee Ann

*Please participate in the Coke Rewards program and donate your points to Eminence High School.
The points will be used to buy sports equipment for our school.
*Thanks for recycling. Please remember to put ONLY CLEAN CANS or PLASTIC BOTTLES in the
blue recycling containers. Please do not put other types of plastic containers, such as food
containers.
