SINGLE ADULT MEN & SINGLE ADULT WOMEN
Please arrive at the Austin Resource Center for the
Homeless (ARCH, 500 E. 7th St.) for the Cold Weather
Shelter lottery process at 5:15pm.
The lottery process will take place on the 2nd floor; please pay
attention to staff announcements to know when to proceed
upstairs. Lottery process will be held to determine which clients
will be sheltered at the participating off-site shelter for the night.
For any clients who will be sheltered off-site (and more than 5
blocks away), bus transportation will be provided. The bus will
depart the ARCH at 6:00pm. A bus will provide transportation
back to the ARCH the following morning at about 6:00am.
Any clients who DO NOT have a CURRENT TB test on file
with Front Steps, should plan to attend the lottery for off-site
shelter as all TB policies remain in full effect at the ARCH.
FAMILIES
Please arrive at the Salvation Army (501 E. 8th St.) for the Cold
Weather Shelter admittance. Please arrive by 7:00pm.
Cold Weather Shelter for homeless persons is managed by Front Steps in
collaboration with the City of Austin Office for Emergency Management,
Salvation Army, and other collaborating agencies, facilities and volunteers.
