areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms.

LOCATION: Mills College Swimming Pool (Trefethen Aquatic Center), 5000 MacArthur Blvd., Oakland, CA.
DIRECTIONS: From I-580 eastward towards Hayward/Stockton, take exit (25B) MacArthur Blvd. Merge onto MacArthur Blvd. Go 0.3 miles, then left
turn into (Richards Rd.) Mills College. From I-580 westward towards Oakland, take exit (25) MacArthur Blvd./High Street. Turn left onto Buell Street.
Turn slightly left onto MacArthur Blvd. Left turn into (Richards Rd.) Mills College.
COURSE: Outdoor heated pool – 25 yards – up to 8 lanes available for competition. Non-turbulent lane lines, Colorado Start System with 3
buttons, automatic timing system. The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article 103.2.3, is 7ft. at the start end and 7 ft. at the turn
end. The competition pool has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). A copy of such certification is on file with Pacific Swimming. Separate
warm up area is available.
TIME: Competition begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, with check-in and warm-ups from 4:00 to 4:50 p.m. Competition begins at 9:00 a.m. on
Saturday and Sunday, with check in and warm ups from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Special extended warm-up on Saturday and Sunday for 8 &
under swimmers only from 8:45 to 8:55a.m.
RULES: Current USA and Pacific Swimming rules will govern the meet. Pacific Swimming warm-up procedures will be in effect. A copy of these
procedures will be posted at the Clerk-of-Course. All events are timed finals. Swimmers may compete in up to four (4) events per day. All
swimmers ages 12 and under should complete competition within four (4) hours. All coaches and deck officials must wear their USA
Swimming (USA-S) membership cards in a visible manner.
RESTRICTIONS: No alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are allowed at Mills College. All shelters must be properly secured. No glass
containers are allowed in the meet venue. No propane heater is permitted except for snack bar/meet operations. When driving in the front gate, the
Guard will direct you to the parking area. Do not park in residence permitted area! You will get a ticket!
ELIGIBILITY: Swimmers must be current members of USA-S and enter their name and registration number on the meet entry card as they are
shown on their Registration Card. All swimmer registrations will be checked against the SWIMS database and if found to be not registered, the Meet
Director shall accept registration at the meet (a $10 surcharge will be added to the regular registration fee). Duplicate registrations will be refunded
by mail. Meet is open to all qualified swimmers, who have met the ‘PC-B’ time standards, except for the 400 IM and 500 Free, for which swimmers
must have met the ‘PC-A’ time standards. Entry times submitted for this meet will be checked against a computer database and may be changed in
accordance with Pacific Swimming Entry Time Verification Procedures. ‘No Time’ entries will not be accepted. A swimmer who qualifies for ‘PC-B’
times or better in a specific stroke and distance (e.g. LCM) will be considered qualified in the same stroke and distance in all courses (SCY/SCM).
No time conversion will be accepted. ENTRY TIMES MUST HAVE BEEN MADE PRIOR TO February 29, 2012. Disabled swimmers are welcome to
attend this meet and should contact the Meet Director or Meet Referee regarding special accommodations on entry times and seeding per Pacific
Swimming policy. Swimmers 19 years of age and older may enter in the events for the 17-18 age group, but they will not receive awards, and must

UNACCOMPANIED SWIMMERS: Any USA-S athlete-member competing at the meet must be accompanied by a USA Swimming member-coach
for the purposes of athlete supervision during warm-up, competition and warm-down. If a coach-member of the athlete’s USA-S Club does not attend
the meet to serve in said supervisory capacity, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to arrange for supervision by a
USA Swimming member-coach. The Meet Director or Meet Referee may assist the swimmer in making arrangements for such supervision; however,

it is recommended that such arrangements be made in advance of the meet by the athlete’s USAS Club Member-Coach. Any swimmer entered in
the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in
performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to
ensure compliance with this requirement .
CHECK-IN: The meet will be deck seeded. Swimmers must check-in at the Clerk-of-Course. Close of check-in for all events shall be no more than
60 minutes before the estimated time of the start of the first heat of the event. Close of check-in for all events shall be no more than 30 minutes
before the scheduled start of the meet. Swimmers who do not check-in will not be allowed to compete in the event.
SCRATCHES: Swimmers entered in an individual event who have checked in for that event, must swim in the event unless they notify the clerk of
the course before seeding for that event has begun. Failure to swim an event will result in being barred from their next individual event on that day
or the next meet day, whichever is first. Exception: No penalty shall apply for failure to withdraw or compete in an individual event if the referee is
notified in the event of illness or injury and accepts the proof thereof, or it is determined by the referee that the No-Show is caused by circumstances
beyond the control of the swimmer.
MINIMUM OFFICIALS RULE: The Meet Referee shall conduct an inventory of Officials, and shall compare the number of entries against the
number of Officials present that worked representing each team per day of the meet. Those teams who have not provided sufficient Officials in a
day of the meet, in accordance with the table below, will be fined $100 per missing official per day.

ENTRIES: Zone 2 entries postmarked or entered online by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012 will be given priority acceptance. All
entries from Zone 2, all other Pacific LSC Zone and other LSC’s, either postmarked, entered online, or hand delivered by the entry deadline will be
considered in the order that they were received.

c. You will receive confirmation of acceptance into the meet at time of payment. This confirmation should be brought to the meet as proof of
entry. Note: Entering the meet online is completely voluntary and is in no way required or expected in order to enter the meet. Swim
Connection LLC charges a processing fee for this service of $1.00 per swimmer plus 5% of the Entry Fees. The processing fee is a separate
fee from the entry fees. If you do not wish to pay the processing fee, enter the meet using the attached forms.
Option 2 – Surface Mail Entries: Individual Consolidated Entry Cards must be completely filled out, including best short course time, or long
course time for each event. If your qualifying time is in yards enter the yard time and put a Y after the time. If the qualifying time is in Short Course
meters enter that time with an S after it. If the qualifying time is in long course meters then enter that time with an L after it. ‘No time’ entries will
not be accepted. Entries must be postmarked by midnight Tuesday, February 21, 2012, or hand delivered by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February
22, 2012 to Gators Swim Meet, 1721 Santa Clara Ave., Alameda, Ca. 94501. No late entries will be accepted. No refunds will be made. Enclose an
addressed stamped postcard if you wish to confirm entry.
ENTRY FEES: $2.75 per individual event, plus a $8.00 per swimmer participation fee. A check for the total amount must accompany each entry.
Please do not put Cash or Coin in Envelopes. Checks should be made payable to the Alameda Gators. There will be no refunds. Entries will not be
accepted unless accompanied with the full fee amount.
ADMISSION: Free. A meet program will be available for a reasonable price.
HOSPITALITY/SNACK BAR: There will be officials and coaches lunches available each day, as well as refreshments throughout the meet. A full
snack bar will be in operation each day of the meet.
AWARDS: The first 8 places will be awarded for 8&UN, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18 age groups. Ribbons will be awarded for B/A divisions. All
B swimmers achieving a PC-A time will be awarded a standard A medal, regardless of place achieved in the event. No awards given for swimmers
19 years of age and older. Note: Individual awards must be picked up at the meet. We will not mail or distribute them after the meet.
