General Description
The Raleigh Site Coordinator (RSC) will serve as the School of Nursing’s academic and administrative coordinator at the Raleigh Site. Responsibilities include: overall facility operations, community relations, administrative liaison with the Chapel Hill site, mentoring Raleigh faculty, and teaching. This is a 75% administrative appointment.
Organizational Relationships
The RSC reports to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs on the Chapel Hill (CH) campus for administrative activities, to the Undergraduate Program Director for curricular issues and to his or her Division Chair academically. The RSC works closely with appropriate chairs, directors, faculty executive committees, course coordinators and course faculty. In addition s/he collaborates with the appropriate faculty and staff members to ensure resource needs for the Raleigh site are met.
Exemplar Responsibilities related to the Raleigh site
Serves as the point person for day to day interactions.
Participates in short and long term planning, including but not limited to strategic issues, budget and space, to ensure that required resources are available at the site.
Oversees routine management and supervises and evaluates on-site staff.
Coordinates class schedules with the Undergraduate Program Director.
Works with the Office of Admissions and Student Services and in collaboration with the Undergraduate Admissions Committee to plan and implement marketing and recruitment strategies.
Participates in the process of faculty recruitment and retention.
Provides information for faculty workload and annual evaluations to the Division
Chairs
Works with the Chairs to assist faculty who are primarily assigned to the Raleigh site in their development as educators at that site.
Develops and supports relationships with the community including clinical agencies and other nursing programs in collaboration with the Undergraduate Clinical Site
Coordinator
Develops and maintains all required reports.

In concert with the Undergraduate Program Director, Baccalaureate Executive
Committee and program option faculty, coordinates the planning, implementation and evaluation of the site, working with the, the.
Provides on-site triage, counseling and referrals for students as necessary.
Acts as an active member of the SON leadership team and attends all appropriate meetings.
Collaborates with SON public relations and communications outreach to showcase student achievements and site news.
