Mrs. Nienow would like to thank

purchased items from the book
fair. This year's fair was a
success! Thank you to all of the
parents and students who helped
out as well. Thank you to
Jeannie van der Linden, Monica
Acosta, Georgina Meyers, Veronica Jacklin, Severine
Hebras, Celest Werner, Melissa Worland and Nancy
Keyler. Special thanks goes to Mrs. Werner for
organizing volunteers, Mr. Nienow and Severine Hebras
for taking the fair down, and to Mrs. Nienow's mom for
making a special appearance.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser
There are delicious cookies, cheesecakes, popcorn
and pretzels for purchase during our cookie dough
sale. All proceeds benefit Benson Elementary to
help support programs such as Class Act and Art
Masters. There are many different prize levels and
the grand prize is a limo lunch to In-n-Out with the
Principal. Remember to only sell to friends and
family. Good luck Benson Bears! The sale will last
until Monday, April 27th.
5th Grade Promotion Pictures
Students in 5th grade will receive a promotion
picture dressed in a cap & gown. This takes place
onWednesday, April 29th, 8:30am. Attendance is
very important. Unfortunately, there will be NO
make-ups. Look for order information to come home
today.

YMCA Summer Camp
BENSON YMCA SUMMER CAMP
Join us for Summer Day Camp at the Y, right on
campus at Benson Elementary School. Your child
will discover new interests, gain independence, and
make lasting friendships - all while having a great
time in a safe & structured environment! Our
program is licensed and open every day
from 7:00am to 6:00 pm, providing convenient, safe
and affordable summer fun!
Enroll by April 30th and receive $100 off monthly

New Benson Bear Cubs
If you know neighbors or friends who live within the
Benson school boundaries, please tell them to stop
by the office to register their new cub! Early Cub vs.
Late Cub requests are recommended based upon
date/time of completed registration.
CAASPP Testing- IMPORTANT
Students in grades 3-5 will be taking the online
CAASPP state test on the following dates. It is
important they get to school on time and are well
rested the nights prior to testing.
May 4-8
May 11-15
**5th Grade will also be taking science on May 18 & 19.
It is important to plan personal events around these
dates. We appreciate your support.
