Objectives
Describe the Nile River, the geographical area through which it runs, and its effects of its floods on ancient farmers in the region.
Explain how ancient Egypt was united.
Describe the structure and purpose of the pyramids.
Explain hieroglyphics, the Egyptian system of writing.
Describe the changes that came to Egypt during the years of the Middle and New
Kingdoms.
Analyze how Egyptian ideas and skills spread even as the kingdom declined.
Explain how Nubia and Kush developed and grew wealthy.
Analyze the political and social structure of Kush and trace its history in relationship to Egypt.
An individual description of each assignment will be given as the student chooses their project. To get full credit, students must orally defend their project.
