SECTION 07 27 26
LIQUID APPLIED VAPOR PERMEABLE AIR/MOISTURE BARRIER
SPECIFIER NOTE: This Short Form specification is intended for use by the design professional
to assist in developing project specifications for the application of a Liquid Applied Vapor
Permeable Air/Moisture Barrier – BEP Blue Barrier Liquid Wrap or BEP Blue Barrier Flash ‘N
Wrap RG to vertical above grade concrete, masonry, and sheathed wall construction. BEP Blue
Barrier Liquid Wrap and BEP Blue Barrier Flash ‘N Wrap RG are designed for use beneath
claddings such as brick veneer with a cavity, vinyl, wood, and fiber cement siding. They can
also be used behind Portland cement stucco with code compliant metal lathe and a slip-sheet,
typically code approved building paper or felt. BEP Blue Barrier Liquid Flashing or BEP Blue
Barrier Flash ‘N Wrap RG and BEP Blue Barrier Joint Filler are to be used in conjunction with
BEP Blue Barrier Liquid Wrap per the application guides.
It is the responsibility of the Specifier to determine if a product is suitable for its intended use
including but not limited to all decisions pertaining to design, detail, structural capability,
attachment details, shop drawings and the like. Dominus Innovations has prepared guidelines in
the form of specifications, typical application details, and product bulletins to facilitate the design
process only. Dominus Innovations is not liable for any errors or omissions in design, detail,
structural capability, attachment details, shop drawings or the like, whether based upon the
information provided by Dominus Innovations or otherwise, or for any changes which the
purchasers, specifiers, designers or their appointed representatives may make to the
manufacturers comments.
Please note that any joints or gaps between adjoining components as well as mechanical
penetrations, etc. are of primary importance to maintain continuity of an air/moisture barrier
system and must be considered by the design professional in the overall wall assembly design.
Stucco claddings require the use of a slip-sheet installed.
