Overview
Materials
By the end of this non-credit course, you will have a better comprehension of
basic Chinese vocabulary and grammar to navigate normal daily tasks.
While the Confucius Institute staff
will provide most materials needed
for class, we ask that you bring a
writing utensil and a notebook to
take your own notes during class for
further study.
Goals
The goals of this course are to expose students to multiple vocabulary groups
and basic grammar points, to learn a beginner or novice level of Chinese
including:



Greetings & Introductions
Eating & Dining Out
Travel & Transportation
To instruct students in language points to help them “survive” in China.

No Chinese language requirement needed.
Must be a current GSU Student, Faculty or Staff member
Must register online through www.ci.gsu.edu
Must maintain good attendance
Must participate in class activities
Evaluation
There is no formal evaluation or test to complete this course. There are no
grades given, or credit earned. Good faith attendance and participation is
requested due to the material and preparation that is done by the instructor
prior to each class.

Chinese Café (Every Friday)
Join us every Friday at 10am, 12pm,
and 2pm at the Confucius Institute,
Suite 408, 75 Piedmont Ave., to
practice your spoken Chinese. All
language levels welcomed.
Chinese New Year & Lantern Festival
