This volunteer community has made the Theatre Guild one of the largest and most successful community theatres in the Midwest. We invite you to become a part of our community. The Theatre Guild has many volunteer opportunities. From acting to ushering, we have needs which can take up as little or as much of your time as you wish. So fill your leisure time with fun, and give yourself a new experience: Management/Administration Volunteer Opportunities Production Volunteer Opportunities Membership / Parties – Help with recruiting and maintaining our members Actor – Perform in a show, auditions announced on our webpage Box Office / Lobby Sales – Sell tickets before and during performances. Playing Packy for R.C.T. – Entertain for the kids as Packy! Box Office Daytime – Sell tickets and available during daytime hours Properties – Design and lead properties for a show Usher – Show patrons to their seats during productions. Properties Running Crew – Perform scene changes during a show Clerical / Office (Daytimes) – Help with general clerical duties. Production Stage Manager – Assist the director and amass the crew House Manager - Oversee the lobby and all patron areas during performances Stage Manager – Assist the director during rehearsals and run the show Poster Distributor – Help to deliver posters to local businesses Assistant Stage Manager – Lead the backstage crew during a show Advertising/Publicity – Help plan and execute Publicity and Advertising Lighting Designer – Design and construct the lighting for a show Board of Directors – Be a member of the Board of Directors Lights or Sound Operator - Operate the sound or light board for a show Bartender – Sell refreshments during intermissions and events Set Builder – Help the Technical Director build the sets Auditions – Help during the audition process Sound Designer – Design and construct the sound cues for a show Play Reading Committee – Help to determine the shows that we perform Crew Meals Between Shows – Prepare or plan meals for the cast/crew Website Assistance – Help to maintain and update the website Set Painter – Help the Set Designer paint the set Mailings (Daytimes) – Help the office staff prepare mailings Makeup/Hair Design – Design and construct hair and makeup for a show Makeup/Hair Running – Assist the cast during a show Costume Designer – Design and construct the costumes for a show Wardrobe Running Crew – Assist the cast during a show Costume Construction – Help the Costume Designer sew costumes Membership Of course, volunteers are always welcome, but the Guild encourages you to consider membership. Guild members are volunteers who agree to work 20 hours sometime during the course of the season and pay a $25.00 membership fee.
