Pathfinders would like to thank everyone for the prayers of a safe
camporee. We had a great trip. Please keep us in your prayers as we have a
full schedule. Next weekend we will be camping at the Zoo and the following
week, we will be going to Nosoca Pines Ranch for a work project for Club of
the Year. We also want to announce that we will be making another ½ run of
applebutter and pumpkin butter after November 15, 2015. We also still have
some applesauce for sale. Please contact Lynette Downing (828)302-2628 for
more information.
Bible Worker Training will begin today after the service. There is still room
for those who would like to join. After a BYO lunch we will be meeting in
the Y&A at approximately 1:30.
Bonfire/Vespers: tonight here at the church beginning at 6:15. Make sure
you bring a chair to sit in.
Prayer meeting: Continues this week at 7 pm on Wednesday night. We will
be studying Lesson #2 of the handout. If you need a handout please see the
Pastor after the service.
Community Services Committee meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4th at
6pm. Please plan on bringing your ideas for Outreach programs for the
upcoming year.
School Fruit Fundraiser: it’s that time of year again for delicious fresh
oranges & grapefruit. Orders are due November 9th. Please contact Sherrie
or Kathy to place your order. Fliers are in the foyer with prices included.
Thanksgiving Baskets: We need these items to fill baskets for needy
families: corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, mac & cheese,
gravy, sweet potatoes, evaporated milk, cranberry sauce, and cake icing. All
items need to be to the Church by Nov. 14th. You can also donate money.
Just mark your tithe envelope "Thanksgiving Baskets." See Lala for any
questions.
November Birthday & Anniversary Calendars: are on the table in the
foyer.
Sponsorship of the Mays family: Please remember your pledge to assist the
Mays family in their Albanian mission work.
Coins from Heaven bottle located in the foyer is where you place money
that you found and then it is given to the school at the end of each year.
