1) Elect new secretary for the BIG BOARD (5 minutes)
a) Robert nominated Aaron, Dale seconded. Motion carried unanimously. Aaron is the new
Secretary effective immediately.
2) Review and approve minutes from May –Mark Schulz (5 minutes)
a) Dale moved that the minutes be accepted, Robert seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
3) Treasurer’s report-Maria Pujols. (5 minutes)

4) Ride of Silence review- Aaron Daniel. (10 minutes)
a) More PR – college radio stations, bulletin boards, Rhino Times, Yes Weekly, etc
b) Shorter Route (Dave’s contacts suggested)
c) Feeder Rides – GFTS from CP, GVC from deOro, Revolution Team from Revolution
d) Hit diverse neighborhoods
e) Group size is getting unwieldy
f) Get more recognition for killed and injured cyclists
g) Ask red band recipients to speak?
5) Review of progress selling t-shirts and plan to sell the inventory- Aaron Daniel (10 minutes)
a) July 4th Ride (see below)

c) Kiosk at Wednesday night MTB races

e) Make t-shirt link more prevalent on website (Jeff).

6) Update and planning for July 4th Fundraising ride- Dale Brown-30 minutes
a) 4th of July ride name: BIG’s All-American Apple Pie Ride
b) Start and finish at Cycles de Oro
c) Fees: $15 pre / $20 day of, $20 family pre/$30 day , t-shirt+membership +ride = $35 ($55 value)
d) Ride Time: 8:00

Setup: 6:30
e) Distances: Metric, 40, 20-30, 10, de Oro – Revolution & back for Family ride

b) VP to try to replace Dale Brown who is stepping down from the Board after the Apple Pie Ride
i) Aaron made a motion to thank Dale for his service, many seconded, motion carried.
ii) Aaron nominated JD for VP, Jesse seconded. Motion carried unanimously. JD will be the VP
effective with the July Board Meeting.
Announcements (5 minutes)
a) Jesse: NCATA organizing a statewide Bike Summit – NOT a lobby day
i) Ellen suggested that Elon Law present their study findings. We own the content and can
make the presentation.
ii) Trying to get Pricey to speak
iii) State budget eliminated the state BiPed advisory committee
b) MPO’s BiPed committee has not met and there are no plans to meet again
