Simultaneously, the organization has moved into newly expanded office space in The InNEVation Center powered by Switch. “The LVGEA has a more in-depth goal of taking Las Vegas to a new level in terms of industry and business relocations and expansions to our region,” said Skancke. “Las Vegas is a global tourism destination, it is now time we become a global business destination so that we compete better in a global economy for long-term economic sustainability. This is the start of a new beginning and part of the great reset of Southern Nevada’s economy.” When Skancke took over as CEO, his focus was to meet with business and community leaders and begin developing an outline of a successful future for the region. "In just over 100 days we have a new name, new offices donated by Switch, and a new direction for our organization,” Skancke said. “The partnerships we are building regionally are very exciting. We've achieved two of our major goals in just 100 days. That's pretty impressive, and there is more to come.” The new LVGEA headquarters are housed at The InNEVation Center at 6795 Edmond St., Suite 260, in Las Vegas. The space was donated by Switch, the world's most reliable technology ecosystem, that has taken a proactive stand in supporting economic diversification efforts in Nevada. “The new space for the LVGEA raises the bar for our organization with visibility, capacity and expansion,” said Skancke. "The next step is to bring on more qualified members to our professional team to create a ‘global hub’ for southern Nevada’s business connectivity.” --More-- “Switch’s sole reason for creating The inNEVation Center was to promote and cultivate collaboration as a fast track to stimulating our state’s economy,” stated Switch Founder and Chief Executive Officer Rob Roy. “The addition of the LVGEA being able to participate amongst our public and private inNEVators is a huge step in bringing this mission to a reality.” About LVGEA The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), formerly the Nevada Development Authority, is Southern Nevada’s premier economic development agency for global business connectivity.
