Select “Apply Now!” (on the left, yellow box) • • • For additional assistance see: Directions for Preparing your Application You will need to: Attach/upload a complete up-to-date resume - include education, military and work experience. The resume does not need to be “employment quality.” If you have a gap in your history of four months or more in the last five years, the UNC System policy requires further documentation. Please provide an additional page to your resume with an explanation of the gaps. Include email addresses for 3 references Schedule a MAT or GRE (general ) test score (note: your application will be considered incomplete until the test scores are received, so be sure to schedule and take the test ASAP). Next… to finish your application: • • • You must successfully ‘submit’ your online application (on last page) on or before the deadline – but the earlier, the better. You will then be given a payment option for the Graduate School application fee: Credit Card or Check/Money Order. The system is user-friendly and will direct how to do either. Order one official transcript from each accredited college or university attended (except ASU); send or have sent to: Cratis Williams Graduate School, ASU Box 32068, Boone, NC 28608. Taking the (GRE or MAT) TEST: ASU testing center information and test schedule: http://testing.appstate.edu/ . You may call the ASU Testing Center 800-355-4084 and ask for EXT: 6801 or call direct: 828-262-6801. To take the GRE or MAT at a testing location other than ASU, and for additional information about the test, visit the GRE and MAT websites. Schedule the test a month or more before the deadline! (It takes a month for scores to come in). This program requires that applicants take the MAT or General GRE test. Scores need to be less than five years old and sent directly from the testing agency to the Graduate School. Note: The MAT (Miller Analogy Test) is equally accepted as GRE for this program-- and is ½ the time & cost. And, for this program- if your GPA for last 60 hours of undergrad work was 3.0 or better—there is no minimum score required, but you must take one of the tests (either GRE or MAT). Application deadline: July 1, 2014. You must electronically ‘submit’ your application on or before that deadline and have ALL materials in the Graduate School by the deadline. There will be an enrollment cut-off- so completion of your application by the deadline is important. Admission decision (and after): • After you (electronically) submit your application and pay your fee by credit card or mailing in a check— Graduate School address above, you are encouraged to log-in to monitor your application progress (ie: transcripts receipt, etc.). • After all application materials are received, your application will go to the department for a decision. [Note: some programs wait to review the applications at one time.] Then the Graduate School will inform you of the decision and ask you to ‘confirm’ if you will attend. • Your enrollment or registration option will be activated only when you ‘confirm’ your attendance with the Graduate School! If new to ASU, you will then be sent a tear apart form with UserID and password– please keep in a safe place… this is the ‘key’ to registration and your AppalNet access. • After you receive your UserID, you should receive Off-campus Student Service Orientation and Registration materials (electronically) from the Program Manager.
